Visit Historic Green Leaves!
The past and present beckons you!
Whether you are interested in trees, flowers and plants, or architecture, history, or just an interesting story, Green Leaves is the place for you! Historic Green Leaves is a Greek Revival townhouse surrounded by beautiful gardens in historic Downtown Natchez, Mississippi. Built in 1838, it has been the home of six generations of the same family since 1849. On your tour, you will see original furnishings, portraits, family china, documents and letters, and even dolls and toys. You will also see a number of interesting and unique artifacts including a sword used to cut family wedding cakes! Leisurely walk around the grounds and have your picture made under the 400-year-old live oak tree. Stroll through the gardens and see the beautiful azaleas in the spring and the many varieties of camellias, some planted as early as the 1920s and lovingly cared for over a hundred years. Enjoy your visit by resting on the large swing on the spacious back gallery. We hope to see y'all soon!
